friendlistOne year ago iFart Mobile took the world by storm by becoming one of the most successful, and talked about, apps for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

Providing millions of laughs around the world, iFart has become the benchmark by which all iPhone novelty apps are measured.

Today, iFart announced the combination of their best-selling digital flatulence technology with the social media craze, resulting in the world’s first farting social network.

With the release of iFart Mobile v2.3, owners may now opt to participate in “Fart Buddies”, a hilarious way for friends to prank each other by utilizing Apple’s push messaging service to send iFart sounds to each other’s phones.

fartpickeriFart owners who choose to upgrade to v2.3 for free will find a new button labeled “Fart Budz.”

By registering with iFart using the proprietary GameDock (TM) registration system, owners may “friend” other members to opt-in to a mutual agreement to participate in the Fart Buddies system.

Once “friended”, owners may select any fart from the iFart sound selection and choose to send the sound to another owner’s iPhone. The fart sound will activate on the recipients phone regardless of what they are doing with the phone at the time.

“iFart is a global phenomenon, perhaps receiving more mentions in the media and blogosphere than any other single application.” said InfoMedia, Inc. CEO Joel Comm. Comm continued, “With the introduction of Fart Buddies, the general public is now free to have fun pranking each other with random blasts of digital flatulence. We have leveraged the technology created by Apple to introduce a new twist to this classic.”

The #1 app in the iTunes App store for twenty-three (23) days last December, iFart once again makes their mark with this ingenious combination of technology and style.
